I went to Clicks Pharmacy Edenvale on Saturday 2014-01-04.I took a month's supply of Centrum from the shelf, took it to the pharmacy department and asked the pharmacist to put it on medical aid. The Centrum was advertised as R159.00.When this was loaded on my medical aid, the total billed was R222.How on earth is this possible? I understand a dispensing fee can be charged-not that the pharmacist dispensed anything, she just had to put this on my medical aid. For the 2 minutes it took the lady, can the dispensing fee be R60.00? Nowhere did the price specify that the R159.00 is for cash purchases only. Even if this goes on medical aid, the savings are still my money. This is really being misused and I am being over charged. Is there no one that looks after our money and savings? No wonder medical aid are exhausted so early in the year. Why is there different pricing for different medical aids and more than paying cash? Just because I am paying medical aid, does not mean that I can be overcharged like that.
