Shoprite
Slapped by the Cashier (Management)

On the 26th December 2013, I went to Shoprite Liquour with my friend and upon arriving on the till I saw a can of coke on top of the counter and jokingly I grabbed it but just before I said something the cashier which happens to be the Branch Manager (Dolly Wani) at Shoprite slapped me and even ordered the security on duty to take me out of the store, my aim was to joke since it was Christmass and I didn't mean to cause trouble. I also work in a retail environment and I always joke with customers and they do the same in return but the embarrasment that the lady put me through that day is undescribeable, in front of other customers watching. This incident happened at Fingoland Mall in Butterworth in the Eastern Cape, the reason I'm laying this complaint its because I know my rights as a customer and I felt like I was in a shebeen and I didn't fight back cause I was shocked and embarassed. And for my own understanding on retail policies a cashier is not allowed to eat or drink on the till or shopfloor en she undermined me thinking I was drunk, I'm even scared to go to Shoprite to buy because I don't know what she will do to me if I go there.
