I have been to more than one Customer Care desks. I have the old Woolworths card. When I say old, I mean really old.
Over several years of use it has become worn; as a result some of the till points battle to read it when swiped.
I asked for a replacement card at more than one branch (in order to check that they were saying the same thing); I was told that my current card has to be blocked and I will receive a new card in 6 weeks. During which time I cannot purchase on my account.
That is absolutely pathetic. In this day and age - I cannot believe that a card cannot be replaced speedily. My bank can replace the card immediately or even in a few days. I would think that I have spent 6 figures on that Woolworths card over the many years I have had it. I find it archaic and terribly poor service. I am shocked and outraged.
Woolworths - wake up - get your accounts division into the 21st century!
