About three weeks ago i went to woolworths to change my surname and address as well as my card and was told that i should only change my surname and address first and then after that has been changed, then i should come back to apply for a new card. and was told this would not affect my shopping in anyway. today i go woolworths to do my shopping as usual, first i had to stand in that long que, then when i got to the till was told my transaction was declined and they couldnt explain to me why, then i was told to go to customer service to investigate the problem, where i also had to wait in a que for a good 30 minutes. finally when i got to the consultant she said she had to go a call the head office to find out why was my card blocked, she came back after 10 min and told me my card has been stopped because a new card was issued and posted to my address. and also told me that they can not assist me as i need to produce the new card to them. what upset me is that, no one told me that my current card would be stopped, i've wasted an hour at the shop and walked out of there without any help. they could see all my details on their system, i had sufficient credit, my card & my ID book.
