I have an existing Edgars account since the time I was like 18 years old. Well anyway, I am normally so prompt like you wouldn't believe on my payments. I believe in always upholding a good credit record. Last month I unfortunately could not make it to the store before the first weekend. We had a death in the family and had to be with the family. I guess at that moment the last thing you think about is paying your account. Anyway the week that followed I received numerous calls from Edcon regarding the payment, which mien dieu was not outstanding. The Saturday the 9th of November, they phoned my home line and discussed the status of the account with my 76yr old mum who got herself in a panic over it. I would understand calls if I was a month late but please I think its unnecessary to do this if someone is a couple of days late. And it was due to a situation that could not be helped. I don't know what the CPA states but I would think its wrong to discuss the status of your accounts with a third party. They actually had the nerve to ask my mum when I would be paying and what time. Now is she suppose to be a mind reader as well and advise on my actions. Disgusted
