I received a call from Edcon consultant on Sunday, which in the constitution is illegal. I was informed that I am behind with payments and have an outstanding amount for the month of August as R940. however in June the outstanding amount was R650, i made the June payment and refuse to make payment for the month of August due to the fact that if i make the payment of R940 will be equivalent to R1590 and still i do not have credit on my account. when i was offered this account i was informed that my installment will not increase from R291, due to the credit limit that does not fluctuate. i fail to understand the reason as to why my installments increase and still have no credit available when payments have not been missed, since last year. I WILL NOT MAKE ANY PAYMENT TOWARDS MY EDGARS ACCOUNT UNTIL THIS ACCOUNT HAS BEEN SORTED OUT.
if this complaint is not sorted within 5 working days i will be opening a /misconduct case and will escalate this matter with the ombudsman, i am willing to pay for a lawyer to sue the Edcon company for the unlawful business practice.
