A year ago I bought some kitchen appliances from Hirsch's Fourways. The sales assistant, Mrs Desery Sookdaw, was exceptionally responsive, helpful and knowleadgeable about the appliances and also signed me up for a loyalty card.
I've grown a little cynical about loyalty programmes, but today I phoned to check if the loyalty points earned a year ago are still valid and received the same courteous and prompt treatment from a lady called, Nonnie. Much to my surprise the loyalty points and rewards were still valid and will constitute a considerable saving on my next purchase.
