There's a dead pixel about half a ruler's length from a small chip in the screen. HiFi Corp manager claims that the warranty is void if the set is "abused", I've scoured the warranty form given to me, and I can't for the life of me find the clause that states the entire warranty is void, if the set is damaged). The television set wasn't even powered on/in use when the incident that caused the chip occurred so there was no case of "willfull abuse".
Tried to get the dead pixel that is (as stated) half a ruler length from the chip, fixed under the warranty. Either HiFi Corp, or the Supplier refuse to repair this dead pixel and claim that the chip has caused more Dead Pixels (which is nonsense because there are no dead pixels behind the chip).
It took the supplier THREE (3) weeks to find the dead pixel that only occurs 20 minutes after the HDMI output has been selected. So they falsify dead pixels to avoid fixing the single dead pixel which apparently forces them to replace the whole unit (despite me asking for the old screen back and just the SINGLE dead pixel to be fixed.
HiFi corp is honestly a joke and this is not the first time i've experienced such ridiculous service.
