I bought 2 identical brand new ACER laptops through a Bidorbuy reseller. Both Laptops in the time developed burnt pixels. For one of them the situation was so bad that we had to send it in for repair. It came back fixed and after a few months now there is a bar of dead pixel that makes it impossible to work. Unfortunately the repair warranty was over, but it is obvious that this is a defect with the machine and to me it looks like Acer just got rid of a bunch of defective laptops by selling them for low price.
After requesting the repair of the laptop that had already been fixed once, I received a message from Acer saying that the repair was "approved". Now they received it and say it is out of warranty. So WHAT WAS THE "APPROVED" MESSAGE?
It is clear that the product was defective from the beginning but ACER DOESN'T CARE IF THEIR PRODUCT ARE FAULTY.
