I received my new Plasma TV from Samsung on Friday, 1 February 2013 at noon and eventually set it up by late afternoon and started the break-in tests when I noticed that the screen had a dead pixel. I reported this to the Samsung brand store (Clearwater Mall) I bought the TV from and they said they would organise to send a technician out to repair it.
During the weekend I also noticed that one of the USB ports was broken and reported this to the Samsung store again on Monday, when I called to find out when a technician was going to arrive. I dually got a sms to say the service centre would contact me.
By Wednesday, no one has come to fix the TV and I got another SMS saying that the repair has been cancelled. I called Samsung and asked why the repair was cancelled and got told that a new ref was opened and got told a technician would be sent out to repair the TV.
Today is Thursday. Almost a week later and still nothing from Samsung. This is rather unacceptable as the TV is brand new and yet nothing is being done by Samsung.
I reckon I should get a new TV sent to me since the 'new' Plasma TV I have is not getting repaired.
