Lewis Stores
Still being billed after unemployment claim

Having filled an unemployment claim form on the 2nd of Nov at the store in question and supplying my retrenchment letter to them a week later, I have heard NOTHING from Lewis Malmesbury. Now i have received a letter from them saying my account is OVERDUE!!!

How do you countenance this?

1.) I am unemployed.
2.) I am unable to pay my bill.
3.) Included in EVERY purchase agreement is a MANDATORY insurance which covers for these eventualities, which I have attempted to make use of. In this I refer you to bullet point 4 on your own website: Loss of Employment: In the event that you are retrenched or made redundant, Monarch Insurance will settle the full outstanding amount on your credit agreement ( [URL Removed] )

Have you lost my claim all of a sudden? When were you going to remember to inform me if you did? Only when there is a warrant for my arrest?

I want this problem solved.
I am happy to take this matter further if no response is forthcoming.
