Hi, I have a personal loan with Nedbank since 2010 that included insurance cover for retrenchment. I lost my job in June 2012 and informed the collectors many times. But they never even once advise me or remind me that I took insurance of which I can claim for 12 months of instalments. No!! non of them informed me, until I received a statement by sms, called and asked them about the insurance cover. They said I should sent them a claim form and confirmation that i am unemployed of which I did a month ago. Now they do not want to cover me for an insurance I took and am struggling to pay. They say my account is in arrears, but it should be as I am still unemployed and they should pay for a certain period since I took an insurance for this kind of things. They did not inform me on my options but where too good to remind me when I should come and pay. I called again today and spoke to Brian who was very rude and unprofessional at their collection team. Nedbank should cover me on my retrenchment claim as I have always while unemployed trying to pay my loan with them, they should help. Or i will stop trying to pay them since they also blacklisted me and I am unable to get a job anyway
