I made use of the eezi coupon system, that Checkers promote currently, for the first time on 2013-11-16. I checked all promotional discounted items as indicated on their website and from that, decided to make a purchase of several goods, including the discounted items (about 9 items). The purchase offered me a discount of R104-00, as per their website, yet after I entered my pin-code, I received a mere R56-00 discount. With a busy store and long rows I opted for a e-mail inquiry to Checkers from home, also on the same day. Till date I received no response, as can be expected in a modern era of bad service. I don't complain about the discount I was denied, rather about the arrogance of such a big company, falsely promoting discounts and then, (A) not having everything in place to honor this agreement of support vs reward, or (B) the intentional dishonest practice of drawing clients falsely with no intention to reward as promised, eg. false advertisement. I guess I am not the first to complain and surely won't be the last.
