Paying insurance but cannot claim

Hi,

My father puchase a laptop from Fairdeal, which i now pay, the laptop was after a 1 year. i couldnt open a case because i didnt have a serial number, cant find the contract or box. i spoke to the store manager and for some reason they cannot provide me with a serial number and as far as i understand the store is suppose to have a copy if the contract. until this is sorted i will not be paying this account any further.
