I just bought a copy of Battle Field 3. I could not find a copy on any of the racks, so one was brought out from a store room. The packaging was opened, and due to the fact that the discs had slight scratches, I was given a lower price on the purchase. I am however unable to use the product as when I try to register it, it turns out that the code was already used. Upen purchase, I was made aware that if the discs were damaged in such a way that they could not be used, I would have to buy another copy, which to me was acceptable. But in this case of the code already used, they told me after I called them back (roughly an hour later) that that the same would apply - I have to buy a new copy. I do not see that this is fair in anyway, since the serial number could only have been jotted down by someone who had access to the store room to do so.
I already contacted EA support, and they cannot assist me with the issue, and advised that I contact the retailer. They confirmed that the code was already used
I can provide proof of payment to whomever would be so kind to contact me
All I want is just a serial number that I can use with the game, since I already payed for it
