I recently purchased an Acer Aspire S7 UltraBook laptop from Hong Kong. I called the Acer support center here in SA on 0861 653 653 went through the options and was put through the technical department.

I cannot believe that the individuals working for Acer are so unprofessional. My problem is that my battery died and was unfortunate in the sense that my place was broken into and everything had gotten (the packaging in which the laptop was in, power adapters etc) all i had was the laptop. I am unable to provide a serial number as non is present. I asked the people working there if maybe i can bring the laptop in to there store, surely they can see the laptop and provide the correct charger? Michael working in the technical department still insisted that i switch the laptop on and go to the bios and obtain the serial number, now i cannot believe anyone is that stupid and works in support??? I got transferred to 5 different people before being told, sorry without a serial number there is nothing they can do, even if i bring the laptop in, nobody will know what to do, so is it safe to say then, that the individuals working for Acer do not know their products???
