In Feb 2012 my wife was contacted by VVM attorneys Inc re an outstanding Edgars acc. She hasn't had one for -20yrs She requested a copy of a signed copy of the alleged contract of sale & sales slip. VVM couldn't provide either & acknowledged as such, and 'considered the matter resolved' - in writing.
Now MBD attorneys are pestering her for the same Edgars 'debt' (same reference no. as VVM) & no matter how many times we've asked for the 'evidence', nothing is forthcoming. We are sick of phoning them & emailing & am now ready to take legal action against Edgars, as they simply won't let go. MBD are trying to bully her into paying for something, which ironically one of their agents lets slip, was an account from 1991! The same agent also quoted an incorrect ID number, but insisted she must pay! An SMS on 21/10/13 informs me she has now been registered with a credit bureau (XDS) due to non-payment. Since these attorneys are acting on behalf of Edgars this is their issue and if we do not have resolution within 48 hours we will be laying a complaint with the SAPS against the CEO of Edgars
