I went to the store in Midtown and wanted to return merchandise that I bought in one of the stores in Zeerust as they were small. My intention was to exchange as I had bought the items in June and could not return them as I travel a lot around the country and buy a lot as well as I do not have time to do shopping. The store manager refused to exchange and said the policy says I have to return items within a month of purchase. I asked him where is that policy and he referred me to the back of the slip which says " If items are returned without a sales receipt within 30 days we will exchange no problem and if you cant find anything suitable we will issue a gift voucher for the current purchase price." I still have my receipt, and I said this does not apply to me in any way and he said it does. The store has a big board which says " We will exchange or accept any return of merchandise if you are not satisfied" I indicated that to him and he said it does not apply. Typical of a black man going around thinking that Blacks knows nothing. He can just tell them anything and not realising that he is exposing his ignorance. The long and short of it is that I want to return the items.
