DAMAGED GOODS SOLD AND STRUGGLING TO EXCHANGE

ON THE 26 OF JULY I BOUGHT A GOWN AND PJS AT MR PRICE IN WONDERBOOM FOR THE HOSPITAL AS I AM EXPECTING WHEN I WAS PACKING MY BAGS TO PREPARE FOUND THAT THE GOWN WAS DAMAGED AND BURNED ON ONE HAND ASKED MY HUSBAND TO GO AND EXCHANGE THE GOWN AS I WAS IN NO CONDITION TO GO THEIR PERSONALLY HE WENT AND WAS SEND BACK BECAUSE THEY WANTED THE OWNER OF THE CARD HE EXPLAINED TO THEM THAT I AM IN NO CONDITION TO COME AND THAT HE ONLY WANTS TO EXCHANGE AND NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING AND THEY STILL REFUSED TODAY IN MY CONDITION I DECIDED TO PULL MYSELF AND GO THE PERSONALLY WHEN I GOT TO THE MAMELODI BRANCH TO EXCHANGE WAS TOLD THAT THEY CANT ASSIST ME I HAVE TO GO TO WONDERBOOM JUNCTION WHERE I BOUGHT THE ITEM AS IT WILL BE A STOCK LOSS FOR THEM I ASKED THE CONSULTANT HOW IS THAT MY PROBLEM AND WHY IS IT NOT NOTED ON THE RECEIPT AND SHE SAID THAT'S HOW IT IS
i AM VERY DISGUSTED AT THE ATTITUDE AND SERVICE THAT WAS GIVEN TO ME CONSIDERING HOW LONG I HAVE BEEN A CLIENT HOW ARE SUCH ITEMS DISPLAYED IN STORE FOR CLIENTS TO PURCHASE AND THEY DON'T CARE AT ALL
WHY IS THE A RETURN POLICY ON THE RECEIPT WHEN THE SHOP DOES NOT ABIDE TO THOSE CONSUMER RIGHTS??? THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE
