I received a gift for my birthday 2nd February and wanted to exchange it at Truworths N1 City. On Saturday the 2nd March, I wanted to exchange it for something else I liked. The bag I wanted to return was a black bag and still had the price tag on it. Truworths refused to return it without a gift receipt or a Invoice. I think this is pathetic as when I buy anything at Truworths the assistant has never asked me if this is a gift? and do you require a gift receipt!!! So if you receive any unwanted gifts you cannot return it or exchange it without a slip. What is the purpose of this policy. So you cannot return/exchange a Truworths product that has not been used without a gift receipt or a invoice!!
