Dear Boardmans, I had a terrible online shopping experience for a friend's wedding registry.
First I had to try submit my purchase about 8 times and it wouldn't process the order, or it wanted to triple charge me.
Once I finally managed to place the order for 4 wine glasses @ R129 p.u., I tried to email the Fourways branch to instruct them to hold the item there to be collected the same day. The email addresses I was given were wrong (both of them) so the emails wouldn't go through.
I therefore resorted to phoning the store and quoted my reference number. The person I spoke to said they would keep my parcel in the shop for pickup.
When my friend arrived to pick up the parcel, Boardmans phoned me to ask if it was a valid pickup, as they were about to post the parcel to my home address.
This was very frustrating and caused me to waste a lot of time. Even after all my efforts, the parcel would still have been sent to the wrong place had my friend not arrived when he did.
This needs to be fixed PRONTO!
