I got married in January, and did my wedding registry at Boardmans.
You can go online and order the goods which is great for overseas friends and family.
BUT this is a complete mess, I had family in Australia order and after a very long wait of not receiving the items they demanded a refund, I had family in the UK have the same problem and also managed to have the issue resolved when I did not get anything and the wait was so long with many many excuses they cancelled.
I have a friend in Dubai who ordered over R1000 in wedding presents for me, ordered January the 15th it Is now May 24th (I got married on the 26th January) and I am still waiting and back and forth with customer services, I have been told over and over that they did not have all the items in stock then nothing now nobody is getting back to me and I cannot just laugh off R1000 of a friends money.
So please if you are doing a registry stay away! most unorganised company I have ever dealt with...
