Dropped in at my nearest Branch on Monday to pay my account, but sadly to my disappointment found EIGHT Staff members huddling together and very obviously feeling that social interaction with each other is way more important than providing a service to clients. After waiting a few minutes to be "helped", I eventually realised that this social event is going to take much longer and politely walked over to the "Make-up" division, where I managed to pay my account. Being understandably irate at the lack of client service from the social group, I requested to see the Manager to lodge a complaint. The response I got from the Lady at the Make-up counter was: "It will not help, as the social group is the management of this branch"

I am not sure if this is a joke or not - one worker and eight socialising management staff members.
Is this behaviour condoned by Foschini?
Is this the example that Foschini Management want to portray to their staff at this branch?
Seriously folks - do you want to do business or do you believe that serving your clients is beneath you?
I suppose that this Foschini branch do not need clients, hence this behaviour.
