Parts not available. Sent back with parts missing

I sent my Genesis Vacuum cleaner for a service through the Pietermaritzburg, Liberty Mall branch, which they sent to Durban for service. I asked for seals to be checked as well as the brush's rubber belt to be replaced.
I got a call from the service shop that advised me on the parts needing replacement, saying that the vacuum machine's lid doesn't fit properly and the lid needed to be replaced.
How can the lid not fit properly? its only the seals that might be a problem. Wasn't the plastic lid made for the machine to fit properly?
Also, The service shop caller told me that the whole brush needed to be replaced, because they do not get small spare parts like the belt.
The next day I called them to query something and I was told that the lid of the machine is not there and if I perhaps have it at home.
I asked how they are now telling another story. Is the lid not fitting? or did they misplaced it, because my branch will verify that everything were sent.
I received my machine back in a box and the new lid I paid for was not there!
I do not understand such bad service, and why can't Verimark get a rubber belt. A new brush cost R200. It's money making corruption.
