I have purposefully waited till today to post because I was so livid on Monday! I bought quite a few things at another Foschini branch on Sunday and Monday went to return the items I did not want at the Eikestad Mall branch. Upon walking in I was greeted with the most solemn and irritated face I have ever seen. I put it down to "maybe she's having a bad day". When I informed her I wish to return the items she told me that the system was offline and I need to come back the next day. Seeing that I made a lot of effort to move my schedule around to go, I told her this would not be possible. She begrudgingly called her manager (who is not a ray of sunshine herself) who I assumed told her to proceed with a manual credit note. Being in HR I am a very tolerant and patient person but even I have my limits. She then started moaning and complaining the whole time she "assisted" me to the point where I felt like a 5 year old who did something wrong. Being a very very very good customer of the Foschini Group in general I was disppointed and upset beyond reprieve to the point where I am considering taking my business elsewhere. Yes, one person can do that... remind your staff...
