Thanks for the warning

My mom is visiting from Port Elizabeth, and we went to shop at Canal Walk last night.
She spent an hour selecting items, but when we got to the till - her account was blocked!! Apparently this is due to the fact that her account has not been Fica'd. she was so embarrassed, and had no idea what was going on. She had not received a warning about the Fica requirements, so was deeply surprised by this.

Where was her sms to let her know? Why do we so easily get sms'd about specials, but not the important things?? I am an Edcon customer myself, and I've not received any notification regarding Fica either.

I am appalled at the way this company operates, my mom has been a loyal customer for more than 20 years, and this is how she is treated.
