Blocked my account without any warning

To my surprise late last night i could not do an eft. This morning when i still could i called Absa only to be advised that my account had been blocked due to FICA compliance.
Apparently it must be done every 3 years.
No one advise me of this, and when i told them that and requested they unblock my account and i would do the FICA next weekend they said they'd sent the request through to the relevant department.
After not hearing back i called again only to be told that the compliance department refuse to unblock my account and state they did notify me however the wont send any proof of this, how convenient for them.
More than 10 years of being a loyal customer and this is the service i get. I cant access my own money!
Disgusting!!!
