I went shopping for groceries at Pick n Pay Ottery Hyper and at the checkout till, the cashier friendly greeted me and smiled and asked me if I wanted a bag. I said yes, and to my utter disgust she proceeded to first lick her fingers twice before lifting out a bag and then proceeding with her still licked filthy hand to handle my groceries. When I told her that this is unhygienic, she refused to apologise, asking what is wrong with it. I then asked to speak to her manager and she then proceeded to tell me that she is too busy and that I must go look for him at the manager's office. She then told me to "Just GO! " after I asked her again. I then asked one of the packers to call the manager, who apologised on her behalf. At no one point did the cashier even apologise or even make any effort to alter her behaviour, because the next customer was also handed a bag in the same manner. I hope that Pick n Pay recognises the seriousness of this complaint. Poor hygiene is really disgusting and spreads germs and diseases. Shame on you Natasha Pieterse.
