Inadequate info proves costly

I bought a navigator on the 11th March 2013. I was encouraged to buy tomtom start 20 because it offered lifetime maps. I was not told it is for a limited period and that I needed to log in, send receipt within 90 days to get the lifetime maps. I bought a more expensive product on the basis I got a good deal but was not told that the offer was for a limited period only. Now I must pay to activate the maps. Total rip off
