I APPLIED FOR A TV WITH LEWIS STORES IN ELDORADO PARK WHICH WAS APPROVED I THEN CHANGED MY MIND PRIOR TO RECEIVING IT AND CANCELLED THE PURCHASE... TO MY SUPRISE 11 MONTHS LATER I RECEIVE AN SMS FROM A COLLECTIONS COMPANY TO SAY I MUST PAY TV LICENCE ON MY NAME WHEREAS THE PROPER COLLECTIONS PROTOCOL WASNT FOLLOWED I HAD NO IDEA THAT I HAD A TV LICENCE IN THE PAST MONTHS I RECEIVED NO COMMUNICATION WHATSOEVER MAKING ME AWARE THAT THE LICENCE APPLICATION WASNT CANCELLED WHEN TV APPLICATION WAS CANCELLED AND NOW AM SITTING WITH THIS PREDICAMENT... AND I THINK THE STORE THAT APPLIED ON MY BEHALF MUST BE HELD RESPONSIBLE CAUSE THE WERE INCOMPETENT ENOUGH TO NOT CANCELL TV LICENCE APPLICATION WHEN THEY CANCELLED STORE APPLICATION ON THEIR SIDE... THINK I AM WELL WITHIN MY RIGHTS AS A CONSUMER TO HAVE THE COLLECTION FROM SABC BE REVIEWED AS I HAVE NO TV N THEREFORE I CANT BE PAYING FOR A LICENCE... PLEASE HELP
