Hi, my query comes with SABC TV Licence. In the year 2000 i purchased a TV licence on my brothers behalf as he was underage at the time. I then got married and moved to my in laws in phoenix. I donot possess a TV, but I am constantly sent sms' to pay outstanding balances. I am constantly paying large amounts that are being demanded despite me requesting that the licence be cancelled. In June 2009 I forked out R1125.00 as payment to Van de Venter Mojapelo attorneys inc. I had sent through an affidavit from the police station which stated that i did not possess a TV set and that the licence will need to be cancelled but I have'nt yet received a confirmation of cancellation or any response just another demand for a payment of R2600.00 thats due. Im tired of having to pay for something that I do not have, have never used and that in actuality requested be cancelled. I look forward to being contacted by someone who can resolve this issue. Till date no one has called me back, resolved the issue or had the courtesy to have the issue escalated if they were unable to resolve it. All i've being left with is a hefty bill and numerous empty promises.
