At month end, a friend (from the U.K) and I visited Foschini in Centurion Mall. No one approached us to ask if we needed any assistance, when looking for our correct sizes we couldn't find any. The clothes and shoes were all over the floor and we couldn't walk. After eventually finding the correct size that was fitted to a manikin, we asked someone at the tills to assist us, we were told someone will and no one did. I approached a lady after waiting 10min and her reply was "I cannot move from my department, no one can assist you". I asked rhetorically and sarcastically if she is serious that no one can assist me and she confirmed it once again. I went to the manikin and removed the top myself and fitted another size on there. I also had to stand in a row for quite some time because on month end there were only 2 tills open. I am not satisfied with the customer service or the merchandising. The response from the Sales Assistants were unprofessional and was a disgrace to show someone from the U.K how our country functions. I have worked in retail for years and this is no way to operate. I will NEVER go back to Foschini and never advise anyone to go there either.
