On Saturday 22 June 2013, I accompanied my boyfriend to Mr Price. Whilst my boyfriend was in another aisle I was browsing through tops, 2 women started to crowd in on the pretext of looking at the same tops. When I stood up, one of these women was standing directly behind and every time I tried to side step her to get around her she followed my step and was pressing up against me unnecessarily which immediately made me suspicious. As soon as I managed to break around her I felt my handbag was lighter and I checked to see that my purse had indeed been taken. I confronted her straight away, and she kept denying it. Joseph Phitla came to my rescue immediately and instantly saw what the problem was. A staff member of Mr Price found my purse where it had been dumped by this woman as she walked to the change room to be searched. Afterwards I was a bit shaky and Mr Phitla came and asked me if I was okay and explained to me that he had had his eye on this woman from the moment she walked in as he had noticed her acting suspiciously on another occasion. Mr Phitla was on the ball, knew exactly what to do and wasted no time. I was left highly impressed and forever grateful!
