Responding to your post Lara Milton.

I understand that I was given the R500 gift voucher. This was unfortunately something I had to catch a lift to Polokwane to receive and was not sent to me via email which would have been more convenient.

Unfortunately Lara, R500 voucher DOES NOT put petrol in my car, nor does it pay someone back for the money they lent me, should I go on? Do you really think R500 gift voucher suffices R1150.00 taken from me???!!!

The fact of the matter is that your T's&C's state the opposite to what Wetherlys have told me - the fact that the employee in the first place was not suppose to try and reverse the transaction in-store, secondly the reversal should have taken place within 7 workings days and thirdly I was to. This goes against the Consumer Protection Act:

Consumer Right No. 7
Right to Fair, Just and Reasonable Terms and Conditions
Your right to refuse prohibited transactions, agreements, and terms or conditions:

Subject the consumers to conduct;
Directly or indirectly deprives consumers of rights in terms of this Act
