Pick 'n Pay
Excessive queues and no intention to change

I seldom shop at the Pick N Pay in Tzaneen Mall because it is always understaffed and in spite of being regularly full of shoppers, actually paying for your goods is always slow as the queues are far too long with not enough tellers. However, having activated my Healthy Foods benefit from Vitality, I decided it was time to change my shopping habits - unfortunately I think it is worse for my health to have to shop at this PnP store. This week I completed my shopping (less than half a trolley's worth) and then jostled my way through the crowds to get into a line at the tills. 24 minutes... I timed it... later, I was finally able to pay. In the interim I asked 2 PnP staff members if more tills could be opened and was told 'they are on tea' and 'the manager doesn't have enough budget for more till people'. When I unpacked my groceries into my car and exclaimed how slow PnP's service was, even the car guard agreed, saying that lots of people are complaining. It's just not good enough to have such shoddy service from the company 'inspired by me' and I am sorry to say that Checkers, with its friendly staff and quick service wins hands down.
