A while back my mother had received an sms informing her that she qualified to receive a fridge and a microwave on account at Russell, I was interested in this special so I requested her to take the offer. Firstly when she gets to the store the assistance (which she cannot remember her name) informs her that type of special does not exist at which I am sure she was looking at her commission structure and forgetting the needs of the customer! I got irate at the idea of such inconsideration and called through to the branch at which I spoke to a lady by the name of Helen and she assured me that my mother can come into the store and pick out a fridge of her choice and the microwave will be given to her anyway (I assume this was a form of retention) and it worked as we continued with the deal. However the fridge was delivered and no microwave and when my mom asked the driver he replied "You will be lucky if you even get that microwave". I am sorry but was this a sales tactic, later last year I spoke to Helen and she informed me that the microwaves were out of stock, till today??? I have to say the service is appalling to say the least!!!
