I purchased a Samsung microwave from Makro in Germiston in Feb 2013, two weeks ago the microwave started giving error messages. So I handed it back to Makro, the microwave is not even four months old to my amazement at the repairs section there was over 8 microwaves there already for repairs so this clearly indicates a defect on the product.
I recieved a call back from Makro today and I was told that coachroaches have damaged the pc board and they want R400 to fix a microwave that costs R1000. My argument is that I have had other brands of microwaves before that lasted forever at that same spot in my house, Samsung is just passing the buck since they dont want to honour the warranty obligations. Samsung should have considered that roaches come into contact of the microwave when they designed the microwave.
Don`t worry I will definately not be supporting your brand again.
