I received an email confirming that my account was approved and I complete the pre-agreement link. After doing so, I received an email confirming that my card may be collected. Yesterday, Sunday the 19th May, I went to Edgars Westgate to collect my card. Much to my dismay, the assistant at new accounts firstly could not pick up my reference number. Then eventually, after being transferred to I don't know how many of your call centre staff and how many different departments, they were totally unable to assist, I was finally told that the reference number 1929637/20130509/A.N.A. was in actual fact for a Mr. Prinsloo. Eventually after getting no help and sitting at your Edgars desk for over an hour, the consultant requests that I complete another application because he is having no joy with your call centre. After completing the application, and then sitting on the telephone with a consultant for another 20 minutes opening the account I was told that my application was declined. I would like an explanation as to how the, was I first approved, then suddenly my reference number belonged to someone else, to finally be declined.
