Edgar's service is atrocious

Edgars is really a huge disappointment. I applied for an edgars account, not because I need credit but because I have no debt nor accounts and I would like to start building my credit record. I applied for an edgars account and the application got declined. Firstly no one had contacted me with regards to the application status update. My application was declined owing to the reason "applicant cannot afford credit" this is completely unbelievable as I do not have a single account, I do not incur ANY expenses as I still live with my parents and my salary is sufficient for an account considering the fact that people who earn R1000 per month qualify for accounts. I went to the store to enquire and assumed that perhaps there was a mere error in the system, only to find that the branch cannot do anything about the rejected account. The edgars system is incompetent and useless! I was further told that I cannot escalate this to anyone as no one is able to over ride the system! What utter nonsense! If this is the new image that edgars would like, I hope that other clients experience the same frustration that I have experienced and in turn do not support edgars as I certainly will not!
