Bought a Polar RC3 heart rate and Gps for R3100-00 at the above store in the week prior to Easter Weekend and the Two Oceans Marathon. It worked gr8 until about 3 weeks ago while in a spinning class my HR monitor stopped working. Then when I went for a run in the subsequent week I found that the GPS doesn't work.
Im a constable in the SAPS and don't earn millions so the above purchase price was seen as a very valuable investment.
I returned the watch and HR strap to the above store and was told the usual who/ha of it being sent away and having to wait 2 to 4 weeks... there I lose a return on my investment already.
To put the sugar on top I go today to Sportsmans warehouse to enquire on the status of my watch and I get told to remember, by the sale/floor person that its a splash not water proof watch... as if to pass the buck and blame onto me and imply that I used the watch while swimming etc. almost as if to catch me off hand.
That is not appreciated as I find it an unprofessional approach and a means of shifting the blame and manking it seem that I am not sure of the warranty conditions.
