Sportsmans have a policy stating they do not change batteries of Polar products, after the store changed my battery without telling me about the policy or offering to send my watch away to Polar my watch (FT80) leaked water after a swim. The damage to my watch is R1300 which I now have to pay. After numerous follow ups with Sportsmans warehouse I had to phone the store again after they did not give me feedback concerning this matter. I did not keep the receipt of a watch battery, who does?! As i could not remember if it was a cash or debit card transaction I asked Johan Vosloo (branch manager) to check and follow up when the transaction took place yet again no feedback. Today I phoned again and I was met by the rudest most unhelpful branch manager as Johan was off sick. Beth was unhelpful attacking and had no idea how to handle me as a customer. Instead of coming up with solutions she was confrontational and unwilling to listen to my request. She was trying to convince me that I was at fault as they did not according to her open any Polar watch, yet that day this had happened and as a result I have damage. Who is responsible for my damage and how can I follow up on this?
