Poor response to burglary

On 10 March we were out of the house when our house was burgled at 9:37AM.

A message was left with my wife, who is the primary contact, indicating that an alarm signal was received.

We only found out that the house had been broken into when my wife arrived back later (by which time ADT and the police had been inside and had left).

The reaction officer who came told us that they had been on site 3 minutes after receiving the signal.

However, I later found I had a message on my cell from ADT, telling us that we had a break-in, which was left at 9:59. Allowing for time to look at the premises and call the contact centre, it must have taken more like 16 to 20 minutes to arrive on site.

Apart from the very sorry reaction time, they didn't make a great effort to contact us. And this is what we pay for? What if we had been at home and had to wait so long for them to arrive?

I want my contract cancelled NOW!
