I am a homeowner of a house in Brixton that was robbed and broken into on 4 Jan 2014. I have a comprehensive alarm system with sensors inside and outside the house. The alarm is linked to the ADT armed response. On the 17 Dec 2013, I gave ADT clear and strict instructions to patrol and keep close watch of my property as I was leaving for holidays and advised them that my caretaker was not around. On the 20th Dec 2013 my alarm went off (from 05h00 - 08h30) and ADT did not respond or go to my property to see what was going. They merely stated False Alarm in their report. On 26 Dec 2013, I requested ADT to inspect my property to verify that all is in order. Later that same day the alarm went off and they did not respond. Arrived back on the 4th Jan 2014 to find my geyser, TV, appliances, doors broken into, the floor flooded with water and wooden floors damaged, clothes and the place ransacked.
When I called ADT to find out what happened. The response from ADT was "We didn't see anything". I believe that ADT company and personnel were involved in the break-in and because the alarm went off and they didnt respond. I suffered damages due to ADT's neglegence.
