On Saturday at 15.37 my sister, whislt away from home, received a phone call from ADT control informing her the alarm went off. She asked them to send someone as she was not at home. At 17.00 I get a phone call from a neighbour saying the alarm is still going off and a window was broken. I rushed to my sister house just to find out the premises was broken into and / R30, 000's worth of goods were. I checked with ADT control to find out when was the first response from the Response Officer logged. It was only at 17.15. i.e 1 Hour 38 minutes later. Pse check your recordings. During this time, the thieve managed to break the window, damaged the burglar bar, damaged the alarm system inside the house, switched of the main, went through all the cupboards and draws, got away with a flat screen, 2 laptops etc. I will understand if ADT Armed response took 15 minutes to respond in this busy period, but 1 hour 38 minutes is ridiculous. This is BREACH OF CONTRACT and I expected ADT to compensate us for their gross Negligence. I intend taking this further in the public domain and expect someone senior from ADT to contact me today. I am really FUMING.
