ADT - arrogant and no feedback

I've requested to terminate my agreement with ADT early September. I've been told that in the fine print it's noted a 3 year minimum term. I was'nt aware of this neither was it told to me. ADT did not finance the alarm system or any other part of it - why a compulsory 3 year term? Notwithstanding this I have been with ADT for the past 10 Years and have honoured all payments.

2nd issue is the attitude of ADT Western Cape. Their branch Manager (Patrick) did not care to hear me out and had a one liner for me "we will hold you to the agreement and you will pay penalties." So, don't think ADT gives a about you - it's about penalties and money only.

My third issue is that I asked explicit feedback on a break in at my house and why the response took so long. ADT refused to give me any feedback on this issue. We had another break-in and with the 2nd incident the SAPS arrived before ADT. Again - no feedback from ADT.

My fourth issue is the absolute arrogance of ADT. I requested the contact details of their local managing director and was told by the branch manager that he wont give me the details nor would their MD speak to clients - have you ever?

Still silence...
