EXTREMELY BAD SERVICE

In the 18 months that we have been with ADT, we have never yet received a good armed response from them. When they put a system into our newly renovated house they damaged our ceiling and pulled paint off of our newly painted wall. They were not bothered to fix this. 25 minutes was the quickest that they were able to respond to my alarm going off. In most cases I was able to react to our house alarm faster than what they were, and this was from across town. I complained and complained and complained and i was brushed off all the time. Eventually i had enough and out of pure fear for my property and family I asked ADT to please just release me from my contract as i was paying for a service that they were not able to deliver. I was then sent a penalty letter and the reason for this is that I chose to break the contract. They are not interested in the fact that i was not happy with the BAD service and I did not like the empty promises they kept giving me.. Basically they can do as they please and i must just accept it.. How is this fair?? Please can someone help...
