Not using digipad which I only installed for ADT

ADT,

As was my fear- my alarm went off this morning... a unit was sent out and I even confirmed my digipad code with the control room, but the unit did not access my property... I had to phoned the control room 30 minutes later to ask them to access the premises... they mentioned that the system does say i have 2 jack russells, and to use the digipad... it seems they re worried about the dogs?
My dogs are secure in the back garden and not in the front.
What can be done to permanently fix this problem? Are they worried about my dogs? Are they forgetting to enter the *? Cant they see the digipad because it is not lit up?
Please could you also highlight on the system to put a * after the code and please could it be highlighted that my jack russells are secure in the back garden so access is possible?
I am sad that I had to call back to correct. My alarm hardly goes of but when it does i would like them to use the digipad which I purely installed for ADT's use... i even make sure i change the batteries every month to make sure the digipad works 100% as i could not afford at the time to install a wired Digipad or a keypad they is lit up all the time to make it very visible.
