It is clearly stated on the Ster Kinekor website: "Simply swipe your credit card OR enter your collection reference number at the Self-service Terminals found in all our cinema foyers"
Having never been to IMAX before, my boyfriend had booked me a ticket via the internet to watch Thor 2 at IMAX, Gateway.
Being as it is that he lives in Limpopo province, he had sent me the reference number for the first screening time on 8th November 2013. Obviously, I would not have his credit card whilst being in KwaZulu-Natal!
Upon arrival at the Gateway theatre, the reference number was "invalid" at the Self-service terminal. I waited for the ticket office to open for help, but instead of opening at 08:30, the counter opened at 08:45. I sought help from an attendant who very rudely told me that I required the credit card to be swiped and then said there was nothing she could do.
Just minutes before the movie, the manager was able to help me by checking a list of reference numbers.
Surely a ticket would NOT have been booked in another province if the website said that a reference number would be sufficient.
I have an image from the website as proof, and I hope for some sort of response.
