I rented from Trafalgar in 2009. At end of my lease, Trafalgar confirmed in writing that my account is clear and I will not be billed for "any" charges. My full deposit was returned. In September 2012 I received an sms from Creditworx that I was in arrears on water account. It is over 3 1/2 yrs now, yet another sms. The lease agreement read with the breakdown of costs excluded water as extra charge (it was included in the monthly rental amount). Monthly statements received indicated a value of 'zero' for water and do not state that there would be a monthly charge that is still to be presented to tenants. No monthly or cumulative bills for water were received by me. In an attempt to seek clarity, Trafalgar provided me with a Rental Housing Tribunal decision as the "basis" for the water charge, a decision that I am not a party to, the flat I rented is not listed on the decision, and the Tribunal has informed me that the decision is not applicable to me. Trafalgar has ignored this and also ignored their confirmation in writing, when I vacated the premises, that I will not be billed for any charges. I am very frustrated with Trafalgar. I will never advise anyone to rent from them.
