We are renting a property in Wierdapark where the power is supplied by Kwela Power, a Division of MidCity Property Services. We received our first electricity bill on 25 October 2013 via email. My wife informed me that it will be debited from my account as she supplied all the necessary details when registering the account with them at the end of August 2013 (moved in 1st of September 2013). On Sunday the 3rd of November I noticed that the amount has not yet been debited from my account, so I requested my wife to call them the following day, which she did. She spoke to Jessica which confirmed that the account was paid up to date, which was odd as my account didn't reflect the debit order. We weren't sure what to do next so we waited to see if maybe the debit order would soon show, as the account was confirmed to be paid. Today arriving at home after work, I found a nice RED letter: FINAL ARREAR NOTICE, acc ref nr E9626-U002/4 which states We are in arrears with R1079.20 plus R136.80 arrear letter fee and electricity will be cut on 12 Nov should they not receive proof of payment, bla bla bla, undersigned by Jessica Burke. Unbelievable. Call was made to her. Unbelievable
